Highlights from the Watercolors Summer Camp

This week Charlene Collins Freeman led a watercolor summer camp for 9 - 12 year olds. Here are some of her highlights.

What a great way way to spend my days. So much creativity, curiosity and fun. We learned about how to paint different values of each color. We learned about painting wet-into-dry and wet-into-wet. We painted feathers as book marks, blue herons, and lions.

One of the most complicated paintings we created was a scene from Pike Place Market. This was an ink and watercolor project. These young artists were absolutely patient and absorbed in the process. A real joy to see!
