November's Drink & Ink
November’s Drink and Ink with Emily Brown was a lot of fun! Take a look at what the participants created!
There was a good mix of artists who were new to block printing, people who were completely new to visual arts, and returning makers printers.
This month Emily provided three separate images for printmakers to choose from. Take a close look at how different all the different prints turn out. Even the ones who chose the same image to trace and carve. Thats where the magic lies!
We have two Drink and Inks scheduled in January and one in February including our frequently requested, very first, weekend Drink & Ink.
Snowflakes on Tuesday, Jan. 7th 6-9pm
Owls on Saturday, Jan 25th 6-9pm
Valentines on Saturday, Feb. 8th 6-9pm
If you’ve never tried printmaking this is a great way to be introduced. As always, Emily will provided images for you to trace if you are not a drawer, carving tools designed for beginners, and an easy to carve printing block. Everyone leaves with a set of their own hand printed cards.
If you can't wait until January to get creative, Emily has two more adult winter workshops in December:
DIY Bath and Beauty Products on Thursday, Dec. 5th 6-9pm (Each participant will personalize and wrap 10 lip balms, 5 sugar scrubs, 2 bottles of all natural hand sanitizer, and 2 candles.)
and
Sip & Stitch on Thursday Dec. 12th 6-9pm (Each participant will be lead through how to make a felt gnome.)
