Yesterday at Cloud 9 Art School we hosted a workshop for cadet tea to earn their Tree badge.

Led by Georgia Schlegel, the girls practiced being Naturalists with a focus on native trees of Western Washington.

They had fun with trees by making a Cedar foot soak, they talked about how to identify some native trees and practiced drawing them, and the girls talked about the complex relationship between humans and trees.

They used their new drawing skills to make a tree silhouette with a watercolor background and decorated tree branch rounds and turned them into magnets.

Great workshop! Thank you Georgia and thank you to the cadettes who attended!
