We all know that we need food to live, and for creative types, we also need to make. My sketchbook workshop will combine these two needs and give permission to play with our food in the process. Making art and being creative is fun and it doesn’t hurt being able to taste the samples either!

This 6-week workshop invites you to explore some of the different ways to record and draw food in sketchbooks with ink and watercolor.  Techniques and design elements will be addressed and discussed, but this is more of a time to enjoy the process of recording what interests you about food. Some of the topics to be covered will include fresh produce, drawing drinks, packaging, markets, cafes and bakeries, illustrating recipes, documenting a meal, and journaling memories.

Open to 16+. All skill levels welcome.

There is a $35 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received less than two weeks before the day of the workshop.

Suggested Supplies:

A sketchbook that works well with watercolors (I like the Stillman & Birn Beta or Zeta series or Strathmore watercolor sketchbooks, but they're not required), drawing tools (pencils, pens with water resistant ink, and erasers) and watercolor.

Email me if you have questions at anyatoomre@yahoo.com. If this time does not work for you, please feel free to contact me and let’s see if we can come up with an alternative.
