August and September Supplies

I want the supplies for my classes to be as approachable as possible. If your student doesn’t already have these supplies here are my recommendations. I like to use the same supplies for a month or two before moving to incorporate some new ones. August will be all drawing so the supplies will be super basic.

Paper

Or loose-leaf paper in a folder

Thick Printer paper

A folder to organize drawings by theme, date or medium

Pencils

I feel like any pencil will do but here are my recommendation

Turquoise Sketching Set

Eraser

A bad eraser can ruin a drawing so here are some good ones, and I put two options in case 1 is sold out or the shipping will take too long.

Tombow Eraser Pack

Staedtler Eraser Pack

Pens

(Affordable)

Coloring

Color Pencils, I feel like most are honestly fine and the same goes for markers.

About Zoom

The classroom code and password will be sent to you each day 30mins prior to class. When you log in you will be able to see what supplies will be needed for that day. I recommend logging in 5-10mins prior to give yourself time to gather supplies for the day.

You do not need a zoom account to attend a meeting. Students with cameras will be able to share their work with other artists in class and are highly recommended to do so. Sharing our work is the best part about creating together and helps us stay connected. Students are encouraged to ask questions and chat during the lesson.
