ONLINE WATERCOLOR HAPPY ART HOUR(S): MOODY LANDSCAPE
FOR ADULTS & TEENS
CHARLENE COLLINS FREEMAN

Sunday, January 16

2pm - 4pm (Pacific Time)

$20

Online using Zoom.

Let’s paint a moody landscape full of atmosphere!

Charlene will walk you through this painting, step by step. No drawing is involved. We will just get right to painting.

Here is a list of the supplies she will use for this project. Feel free to bring your own favorites:

  • Watercolor paper. I use Arches Cold watercolor paper 140 lbs (5.9 x 11.8 in. / 15 x 30 cm.). I love this size, very horizontal! It lends itself well to landscapes. Do not plan on using paper that is lighter than 140 lbs as it will curl too much with the water and paint. My paper is in a block so it is glued on all four edges and can’t curl up as I add water and paint. If your paper is not in a block, consider taping it to a board with artist tape before we begin painting.

  • Watercolor brushes. I used:
    Black Gold 311 Size 2
Princeton Heritage, Series 4050 Round Size 2

  • Daniel Smith watercolor paints
    French Ultramarine
    Sap Green
    Burnt Sienna
    Yellow Ochre

  • Spray bottle full of water

  • Water & water container

  • Paper towels

  • Your favorite beverage!

The invitation link to join the class on Zoom will be sent to you around 1:45pm on the day of our class, 15 minutes before class starts. Have your supplies set up and we will jump right in.
