A native of New Delhi, India, Rohini is a self-taught floral artist who now lives and works in Bothell, Washington. She creates vibrant paintings of colorful florals, botanicals and gardens that pay homage to the immense wonders of Mother Nature.
About her purpose as an artist she explains, “Color enchants me, surprises me, excites me. I believe there is no better way to appreciate and be in reverence of the magnificent beauty of Mother Nature than capturing those through my playful brushstrokes on the canvas”. Inspired by this desire to express the beauty of the natural world, Rohini brings to life her paintings using her own distinctive style and interpretations rather than literal renderings.
Rohini is an award-winning artist whose art has been juried into several exhibitions and shows in Washington and Oregon. She is a juried artist member of the Woodinville Arts Alliance. She is also a juried artist and teaching artist in the Artist Roster for ShoreLake Arts, City of Shoreline. Rohini exhibits regularly at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland as a guest artist as well.
In 2022, Rohini was selected for City of Bellevue Utility Box wrap Public Art program (installation coming in Summer of 2022). Rohini's paintings were selected for 2022 City of Mount Vernon- Skagit Impressions Banner contest and were displayed at streetlight poles in downtown Mount Vernon, WA. Her painting was one of the winning art pieces at the 2021 City of Kent Free to Roam exhibition.
In 2020, her artworks were also selected as finalists for West Seattle Garden Tour Competition and La Conner Daffodils Festival Poster Art contest. In 2019, her paintings were honored with City of Kent Purchase Awards at the 2019 Kent Summer Art Exhibition. Rohini’s paintings are now part of City of Kent Public Art collection.
Her art has been juried into several art exhibitions and shows at several local galleries such Kirkland Art Center, Parklane Gallery, Schack Art Center and Gallery North. Over the years, Rohini’s paintings have also been selected for various juried art shows such as City of Kent Summer Art Exhibit, Edmonds Juried Art Show, Shoreline Arts Festival and many others. Rohini’s artwork can be found in numerous private and public collections worldwide including the public art collection at City of Kent, WA. She is a juried artist member of the Woodinville Arts Alliance and her artwork is currently being exhibited at Beaumont Cellars in Woodinville, WA.
Rohini enjoys sharing her love and passion for the arts and teaches several art classes and workshops in various mediums to youth, teens and adults.
