Long honored traditions during the holidays include decorating with botanical elements like holly, ivy, mistletoe and poinsettias. Songs are written about them; they are such a part of our celebrations. Many stories and legends have been created around them. This month we will dive into the stories and find new ways to tell them in our sketchbook. Online using Zoom. Video tutorials available to students for one year.

We will focus on the wintery greens typically used during the Holidays. There will be discussion about where inspiration comes from and how to tell stories with words and images.

Several techniques are demonstrated using gold pens, markers, paints, metallic powders, pencils, black India ink, Pen holder and nibs like C-4 or C-5 and pointed nib and a sketchbook for watercolor and or mixed media, pencil, eraser, and any of the standard Nature Sketchbook Supplies. A more extensive supply list will be available upon registration.

 *New Class Feature - Many of us have taken art classes that we haven’t gotten around to finishing for various reasons. In that spirit, Students who have previously taken this class with me will be able to use the "Take it again for $10" option and enjoy the redo with others.
