While it’s true that good artwork stands on its own, without an explanation, often people will want to learn more about you and your work.

Artist statements, artist resumes, and artist biographies are often required when you enter your work into art competitions, apply for representation by galleries, or apply for grants. And people interested in your work will want to know more about you as well!

This workshop will cover the basics of writing these documents and look at general dos and don'ts. We will spend time in class writing your drafts so that by the end of our time together you will be able to complete your artist statement, bio, and resume with confidence.

The class will be recorded so if you can’t join us, you will still be able to watch the lesson. Recordings are available up to one month after class ends.
