Word of the Year Collage

We are thrilled to welcome Colleen Stone to Cloud 9! Colleen is a mixed media artist and native of our beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Her beautiful work is nature inspired. She plays with bright, cheerful acrylics, as well as soft, delicate watercolors. She surrounds herself with stacks of vintage books, jars of feathers, and piles of pretty paper. Mixed media art is the perfect outlet for someone who loves to do it all! 

Her first workshop is coming up soon and there are only two spots left!

Come and learn playful mixed media collage techniques with paper, paint, stamps and more!

Choosing a Word of the Year is a wonderful way to bring focus to your life and help you stay on track with your plans and goals for 2020. One powerful word can be the perfect visual reminder of what you hope to accomplish and what's most important in your life.

We'll use pretty paper and paint to create a beautiful piece of art to hold your chosen word and to brighten your home.

If you haven't chosen your Word of the Year for 2020 by the start of class, I will provide some activities to help you find one that fits.

No previous experience necessary. 

What to bring:  a sack lunch3-5 different sheets of your favorite patterned paper (such as scrapbooking or gift wrapping paper) 1 or 2  favorite magazines you're willing to cut up.
