Come join Annie Carl, owner of the Never Ending Bookshop for creative writing workshop for adults and teenagers 16+

First, Annie is offering a six week workshop on Creative Writing.

CREATIVE WRITING
Sundays 5:00pm -6:30 pm
June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7 & 14

This six-week workshop will introduce students to creative writing through free writing and different elements of storytelling: prose, poetry, stream of consciousness, essays, and short stories.

The first class will be an introduction to both writing and class structure. Each class will include a half hour of free writing from provided prompts. After the first class, we will cover one method of creative writing each week. The workshop’s goal is to build confidence and love of the written word through creative writing. 

Materials to bring: journal, notebook, pen, pencil, laptop, tablet, portable typewriter…

Homework each week will be daily writing in each element with the option to share at the next class.

WRITING A BOOK: A CLASS IN STORYTELLING

Do you have a story welling up in you? Is it fiction? Non-fiction? This class will help you get started! Students will get to build a story using characters, plot, dialogue, world building, active voice, and research during this six week course. Each week, we'll focus on a different part of a novel/non-fiction work to help students get started on a novel-length body of work.

Materials: journal, notebook, pen, pencil, laptop, portable typewriter.

November is National Novel Writing Month! Hundreds of thousands of people participate in writing the first draft of a novel that is 50,000 words or more. Think you're up to the challenge?

This six week class will help you get prepped to meet your goal of 50,000 words! Each week, we'll look at different ways to meet your November goal, including utilizing the Nanowrimo website, chat rooms, and write ins.
