One of our instructors, Colleen Stone, donated her painting His Royal Highness to an art auction to help raise funds for Cloud 9 Art School as we navigate this health and economic crisis. We are so grateful and humbled by all the creative ways our instructors, students and community have come up with to support us. Thank you!

The peacock is a bird with wings who is somewhat tethered to the earth and Colleen combined the warm colors of the sun with the cool turquoise of the the ocean to reflect this in her beautiful painting. And Colleen decided that now was the right time for this bird to fly! 

She promoted the auction on The Giving Canvas Facebook page. The auction ran this week and one of Cloud 9’s champions student Katherine Voss, won the auction, gifting $250 to Cloud 9!

Thank you to both Colleen and Katherine and a big thank you to The Giving Canvas for auctioning art for so many worthy causes.

We are all in this together! And we are so grateful!
