Children’s book illustration 1 (the first class in a series of three)

Are you interested in creating art for children’s books? In this first course of a three part series you will learn the beginning steps of completing illustrations for young readers. In this first course we will concentrate on generating ideas, thumbnail sketches, Storyboards and creating larger drawings for several of your illustrations. We will also study picture books and learn about structure and what makes for a successful reading experience for a child.

Craig is an award-winning illustrator of over 20 children’s books for such clients as Simon and Schuster, Scholastic, Henry Holt Books and Little Brown Books..

Out of class drawing assignments required. Supply list will be provided upon registration.
