This workshop is all about telling a visual narrative by bringing together your love of drawing and passion for birds. Nature is not a museum of individual fauna and flora pieces, but myriad of connections, eco-systems and symbiotic relationships. You will create up to three drawings in this workshop in one medium or combination of mediums of your choice. Learn how to work with reference images, how to place things together in one artwork, create thumbnails of compositions, look and study color. This workshop is about making your art expression more personal.
You will receive reference images as well as research info about 3 different kinds of Pacific Northwest birds but if there are specific birds you would like to draw, you will be encouraged to do so.
HOW IT WORKS:
Before the workshop starts I will send out a ZOOM invite for all our lesson together, including reference images for you to work from. I will show you examples of artworks, demo techniques and also create art pieces for you to either follow or be inspired by. Then we sit and paint/draw together. During class you can email me images of your artwork so that I can give you feedback and advice where needed. We can learn a lot from one another so itβs always wonderful to show your work to others. I strive to make this workshop very interactive.
