Online Watercolor Happy Art Hour(s): Picnic Flowers with Charlene Collins Freeman

Let’s paint a colorful bouquet of flowers on a picnic tablecloth! Bring your supplies and beverage of choice.

After I receive your registration, I will email you the line drawing for this project so that you can complete your drawing before class. In class, we will focus on painting.

The invitation link to join the class on Zoom will be sent to you around 2:45pm on the day of our class, 15 minutes before class starts. Have your supplies set up and we will jump right in.

All skill levels welcome.

Here is the list of supplies I use for this project. Feel free to use your own favorite supplies!

  • Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper 140 lbs (9" x 12" )

  • Pencil (2H or lighter is best) and eraser if you are drawing with pencil

  • A waterproof black ink pen if you will add ink (I will use a Micron pen size 08)

  • Watercolor brushes. I used:
    Black Gold 311, Size 00 and Size 0

  • Water & water container

  • Paper towels

  • Daniel Smith watercolor paints 
    Sap Green 
    Opera Pink 
    Green Gold 
    Alizarin Crimson 
    Phthalo Turquoise
    Aussie Red Gold
    Phthalo Blue (Green Shade)
    New Gamboge
    Quinacridone Purple 
    Hansa Yellow Light
